My family and I go often to eat here and we are never disappointed. The food is always good! One of the best spots in Pilsen!
Chef Agustin Bahena has done a fantastic job of maintaining a solid restaurant that is consistently putting out the best mole in the Pilsen neighborhood! He won the coveted Mole de Mayo competition 3 times! I love his spicy mole estilo Guerrero with chicken. My colleagues love his burritos. You cannot go wrong with food made my Chef Bahena and his team. The ambiance is warm and inviting. I like looking at the cool artwork made by local artists from the community. Everything he makes is from scratch and made fresh to order. This is why his meals take time. So, if you are in the Pilsen area and looking for some delicious mole, stop by Mole Village. You will not be disappointed!
Food is very good .. BUT !! We made an online order and was charged a tip $$ our order was over $150. And a carry out.. owner wouldn’t give back the TIP amount.. we didn’t eat there.. and was a preset amount.. we asked why.. all he would say is sorry .. wtf !! Sadly probably won’t go back because of this.. but yes food (mole steak sandwiches) were very good
So delicious! They've won awards for their mole and it's easy to taste why. It's a darker, slightly bitter, slightly spicy mole, that's not as sweet as some I've had. I had this a few days ago and have been craving it since then. The restaurant itself looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, but on the inside it's warm and welcoming, simple and clean and homey. You could bring your grandmother here. Service was fast and polite and kind. We had the mole chicken, the mole chicken enchiladas, and the mole chicken bowl, and everyone loved theirs.
Came from Dallas to try this place out, took two trains to get here and it was definitely worth it! As soon as we came Anai provided amazing service. She even let us try the mole before ordering. I would highly recommend the chilaquiles de mole and agua de Jamaica to everyone!!
Their Sunday buffet spread is amazing value. Lots of variety, different proteins in different sauces, soups, lots of fresh garnishes, and fruit. The quality of the food did not suffer at all, the meats were so tender and juicy, the mole was top notch. Fresh warm tortillas come with the meal. Everybody is so friendly too.
Ordered from DoorDash. Food was delicious. Got the Enchiladas and Costillas de Puerco. Mole was very well done, tasted homemade, and well balanced, with some heat and a hint of sweetness. Salsa for the Costillas seemed to be de molcajete and the pork was well seasoned and tender. Homemade tortillas were solid and did not fall apart. Overall, some of the best Mexican food. Looking forward to ordering again to test their consistency.
Staff was friendly and welcoming. The mole was amazing, tasted homemade and reminded my of my mother’s very own cooking. Tortillas were handmade too! Will definitely visit again!
